I love watching people's reactions when I tell them I like Marilyn Manson.
"Ehh, why? He's creepy..."
"The guy's like the spawn of Satan, how could you like him?"
"Freak."
"His music's terrible. Why don't you listen to, like, My Chemical Romance or something?"
Aha. Right.
Problem here? People never give the guy a chance.
What's so creepy? The fact that he wears a lot of black and happens to like make-up? The songs themselves? The image that everyone's given him?
Something to think about.
Yes, a good many of the songs aren't exactly what you'd beg as 'wholesome' or 'PG rated'.
Sorry if you were looking for the Telletubies and didn't get them.

And no, for those wondering, Marilyn Manson is not his real name.
If I'm correct, his real name is Brian Warner. The 'Marilyn Manson' bit came into play how exactly? Well, Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson. Mix 'em together and BAM. There you go.
[If you don't know who Charles Manson is, look him up. I can't be bothered to explain. I'm assuming everyone knows who Marilyn Monroe is. If not, then there's something so wrong with you that it would take me forever to even explain that there's something wrong with you.]
The videos are 'dark'? Aww. You poor thing. Yes, they are sometimes.
And yes, many of those videos have meanings. Gasp. Didn't think so? Shame.
I was scared to death two years ago. Oh, but poor unenlightened me didn't know any better then.
Anybody realize how much of an artist this guy is? [And no, I don't mean just singing and the videos. I mean art.]

I've never heard any of Manson's, as you know ...
But I'll rant here anyway. If I hear one more thing about those stupid fad bands like My Chemical Romance or Fall Out Boy I'm gonna puke. It's like everyone's into them because everyone else is. All of those stupid bands are just carbon copies of the one before it, every one of em ... -_-
My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Tokio Hotel, the list can go on.
They are all pathetic posers, [though I admit I tolerate a few of FOB's songs and like two of MCR's] I get it. I hate people obsessing over them because they don't know of anything else.
Manson is not a stupid fad band.

He's been around longer, done more, started the thing to begin with, isn't trying to be something just to get a load of 'fans', and actually has an ounce of meaning a hell of a lot more than THEY do.

OK, I finally listened to some Marilyn Manson and ...
I've gotta say, I really don't like him too much. The music has no ... how do I put this ... real energy. I mean, it just seems to be flat. The lyrics are brilliant in many places, but the sound quality falls short, and sound is a big deal for me.
It's kinda like a poem to a drum tap, you know?
Also ... the dude still creeps me out O_O. I try everything once though x].

And, I know what you mean. Does sound a bit flat, now that you mention it, but I still like it. xD

Peoples should know who Charles Manson is!!! He's a famous murderer who didn't actually commit all those murders >.< His followers killed Sharon Tate in 1969!!!
