Seriously? What is UP with all of the skulls-and-dragons people have as tattoos?
First: If you actually know me, then you should know how against tattoos I am ONLY because how horrible they are for your health. Imagine drinking a bottle of ink. Considering the fact that by getting a tattoo you're shooting ink straight into your blood stream...Well you can see where I'm going with that.
Moving on.
The radio station I listen to has this tattoo gallery on their website. I was looking through it just for the heck of it, and it's driving me nuts, the amount of people with nothing but skulls and dragons. Don't get me wrong - I like 'em just as much as the next person. But for something being permanently drawn on your body, I'd really like it to be a little more creative than skulls and dragons. Am I asking for too much here?
Granted, some people have some pretty cool ones. Some are just a little pathetic, and others a tad deranged. In any case, the vast majority seem to just pick whichever looks 'cool'.
Perhaps those were the people who were drunk when they got them done.
*Ahem* Now if only they weren't so poisonous to your system, I'd totally be all for tattoos. [Just not a load of skulls and dragons, if you haven't yet figured that out.] And since I'm already on the whole subject, I shall just go on with what I might get, if they ever come out with an entirely organic-based ink that would do no harm to you whatsoever. [Not likely.]
Music note - Tiny, black, back of the left shoulder.
C'est La Vie - Back of neck. [Means 'That's Life' in Italian.]
Tiny purple heart with spikes around the edges - Inside left ankle
Black flower outline with a vine or two going up - Right hip
And that's it. Simple enough. Wouldn't want a bunch of flashy colors, all down the arms and legs. I'm good with a few tiny things and that's it.
But for lack of that all-organic, not-at-all-harmful ink, I think I'll stick with the piercings.
Well, with getting them, that is.
Six earrings in each ear, and a lip ring.
That's the plan.

Have we all just lost our creativity, or what?

I was just thinking that the other day, actually. Seems like everyone has the same tattoos ....
I seriously like the idea of a musical note though. :D If I were to ever totally lose my mind and do it I'd probably get ....
A. Crown of thorns around my wrist.
B. A blue butterfly on my lower back [sounds generic as the rest, true, but I like the idea.]
C. A small quote/Bible verse on my shoulder.
Exactly. It drives me nuts. o.o
Love the crown of thorns idea. When I was away back in June, one of the girls we made friends with at the hotel [like everyone that worked there, I swear. We had a friend in every department, not even joking.] had this tattoo on her wrist. It looked like her arm was stiched, from on side of her wrist, spiraling down to the other side. Spiffy stuff. ^_^
That is cool, a tad creepy though. XDD
If I were to totally lose my mind, as Manda put it, I would get a butterfly or a rose on my right shoulder. Most likely a rose though, because that's my middle name. :)
Manda: Was cooler than it sounded, I promise. I suck at describing things. xD
Nina: Oooh, shweet :D
Nina: Ooh, elegant. ^_^
Meg: xDD
Well it was x]
Yeah, that's me - elegant. xD Are you guys going to go to the meeting tonight?
I didn't even get online last night.
It rained all day, so we just kind of bumped around. And X-Men was on at 8. That's the only one I hadn't seen [Saw the third movie first. Then the second. And I still hadn't seen the first one, so it was finally on XD] so we watched that. And I only got online for a bit in the morning to check a few things, and Mrs. K hadn't sent the reminder yet so I didn't know if there'd be a meeting or not.
Soooo no I didn't, as I'm sure you found out. XD
And if the meeting's on Tuesday next week, I also won't be there. Neither will Raven. Next Tuesday we go back to Poynter for that night, so we won't be to that meeting if it's that night. x]
Ohh cool. How long are ya gonna be gone?
Just that night. One Tuesday a month until May. It's from 5:30 to 7, at night. Half an hour for dinner [yes, they feed us. Go Poynter.] and then an hour seminar. This month is the first since June [they skip July for whatever reason] and we're meeting with a music critic from the Times. So I'm all jazzed. :D
Omg, that sounds awesome (I was about to say 'off the hook', XD)!! :D
Off the hook.
....
Yes, yes it does XD
"Omg, that sounds off the hook!" Don't even know WHY. I just did... I was feeling happy when I wrote that, and when I have an overdose of happiness I start talking weird. xD Saying things like 'off the hook' and 'knarly.'
I do the same thing XD But then I'll realize what I was saying and go "O_O erase..."
Knarly?
WTF is knarly?
Isn't it gnarly? XD
O_O I have no idea... I've seen people spell it 'knarly.' Whatevs. XD
What on earth...who would spell it like that? XD
I have no idea. O_O You're seriously asking the wrong person...
Not really. You're the only person I've met who said they've seen people spell it 'knarly'. XD
Good point. xD
lmao I leave this thread for a few days and look at the terror you two wreak. XDD
Yeah, when I get all overdosed on happehness I tend to ... gush ... at people, which looks strange through e-mail, and they're like, "Manda wtf are you on?" XDD
Knarly ... I can see that ... knee ... knarly. Yeah. That works. XD
We tend to do that. x]
Yeahhh, that does happen sometimes. People wind up all "O_O WTF HAPPENED TO YOU?!"
XD
I mean, I can see how it would work, but it's still weird to me, because I'm used to 'gnarly' instead. x]
