I kid you not.

A commercial I heard on the radio today.

It starts with a woman asking a guy "you're not going over the speed limit again, are you?"
The guy replies with something along the lines of "oh it doesn't matter, I have Phaser 2." and he goes on to explain that cops can't detect how fast you're going with the 'Phaser 2', and that even if you wind up with a ticket, Phaser will pay for it. So the lady goes 'well step on it!'
Then we have this crazed-out announcer dude. He's saying you can try Phaser 2 free for 30 days. Cops can't detect the speed you're driving at, and even if you get a ticket, Phaser will pay for it. Goes on to give out a number. Then, it says "Phaser 2 has been outlawed in 8 states!" And at the end it says "Obviously, we don't promote reckless driving."
I'm sitting there, just waiting for it to be a commercial for All State or Geico or something, the way this guy is talking. Then one of the DJ's for the radio station comes on [recorded commercial, you know.] and he repeats the number and some of the stuff the announcer said.
...
Then the commercial ends.
I'm staring at my radio, glazed-eyes, mouth-open, the whole thing.
It.
Was.
Real.
This thing actually exists.
And what kind of retard would say 'we DON'T promote reckless driving'?

This world is unbelievable.
Clearly the state I live in wasn't one of the 8 where this thing is illegal.

You read correctly.
Complete and utter idiocy at it's finest, eh?
Wonder how many accidents this one's going to cause.

I can only imagine how many accidents there will be. That seriously deserved to be featured on your blog...like, yah. The Modern Insanity. That is modern insanity.

Yeah that's just the absolute dumbest things I have ever heard of. . . . I mean, no exaggeration - that was one of the dumbest, hands down.
