Three cheers for fucked up health issues

Yeah so. Lots going on, little of it good. Whoo for inane suckiness.

Not sure what's up with Grandmom - she's had screwy health problems most of her life, and hasn't bothered to take care of herself - but she and my mom think it's lung cancer. Appears that way, though they don't know for sure yet.

As for mom...she's been having nonstop numbness in her fingertips for about two months now. She researched some and found that it has something to do with her neck.

She was in a massive car accident twenty years ago, and apparently the hospital retards didn't check everything they should have, and she'd had whiplash. So nowwww, the bones in her neck/spine have just kind of crumbled into themselves, and she's basically lost almost all of the bone mass. And the discs are pressing on this nerve, which is what's screwing up her fingers. Turns out if they press on it any harder, she could [and will, eventually] lose all the feeling and muscle in her hands and arms.

The chiropractor's going to try some stuff, but you can't regrow bones so it's pretty much done. She COULD get this crazy surgery [slice her back open and insert something to hold everything up again] and that would make her fingers better, but we have no idea what that would cost, and she's not really into having foreign objects in her body.

So yeah. That just all entirely s*cks.

Yeah, I know how you feel - seems like health problems just never end.

Sorreh about your Grandmom. >.< Extremely unhelpful as it sounds, stay positive. Could always be something else.

Gah, that sucks about your mom as well. :x What idiots at the hospital. o.0

Manda; Exactly.
Yeahh, it could, and we really DON'T know yet, but it appears that way.

I know. But that was before everyone was as thorough as they are now [even though they aren't entirely thorough now, either] and they just didn't check. In any case, she now has to go to the chiropractor three times a week for three months, and see what happens after that.

Hopefully :\ Would suck to need a surgery.

The chiropractor's hopefully going to be able to move the discs in her back so they aren't crushing the nerve. Chiropractors are more helpful than you might think. :)
