Palin vs the Polar Bear [amongst other things]

Officially cannot stand Sarah Palin.
By now everyone's heard of her: The Governor of Alaska - for just about two years, mind you - chosen as the VP pick on Presidential nominee John McCain's ticket.
The first time I heard her speak, I wasn't particularly impressed. Simply didn't really like her, but didn't have much of a reason to dislike her.
Oh. But now I do.
Soo.
She doesn't think humans are causing global warming.
Really? So who is? The mayflies?
Cars and big buildings and plants and everything. [For the record, I mean plants as in buildings, not as in flowers and trees.] But uhm, gee, if I remember correctly, I do think that cars and buildings were actually INVENTED, but uh, what's the word again....Oh, humans, wasn't it? Yeah. You can see where I'm going with that.
And better yet: She's against putting polar bears on the endangered species list.
Someone please explain to me how you can live in ALASKA - AKA Polar-Bear-Heaven - and be against putting polar bears on the ENDANGERED SPECIES LIST. How exactly does that work?
Probably would just interfere with her hunting season, because you know, no one can shut up about her hunting and fishing priorities.
Hockey mom? Whoo, that's cool. Five kids, hockey mom-ness rocks. Why not go back to that?
Point in short: I completely loathe Sarah Palin.
Deal with it.

For someone who so greatly relishes in conspiracy theories, has it occured to you yet that the whole global warming scheme could simply be another Earthly cycle (consider the ice age before you write that off), but hyped up by the government to drive fear? In case you haven't noticed, they seem to love doing that.

And the polar bears - who cares? So she doesn't think polar bears are endangered. Big deal. Hillary Clinton is all for killing babies and you love her. Sarah Palin doesn't think polar bears are endangered and she's Satan. Give me a break.

You don't like Sarah Palin for the sole reason that she's Republican, just like I don't like Hillary Clinton because she's Liberal, and what's wrong with that? If you don't like someone because they don't share your beliefs, that's enough reason to not like them, I believe. But let's not sugarcoat it with stupid little reasons.

Hmp. I'm against her already, just by reading about the polar bear ordeal...

Nina: Thank you XD Poor polar bears. :x

Manda: Sure. And while we're at it, why don't we stop making such pathetic accusations? I don't give a damn who's Republican or Liberal, and the fact that you could think that shows just how much you don't know what I'm talking about here. I like Hilary because I agree MORE with HER as a PERSON. I don't CARE what party she's from. I dislike Obama and I dislike McCain. I despise Bush. [So close to verging on hate that I couldn't explain it properly.] I'm okay with Biden, but that's mostly because I haven't heard him speak much, and therefore will not be judging him at all. Palin I have heard quite a few times. Hilary I have heard quite a few times. I have reasons for why I feel the way I do about the both of them, and none have the least bit to with their 'parties'. So please lay off of that, right now. You're dead-wrong.

Back to the beginning now.
Yes, it has occurred to me plenty of times. But uhm, if I remember correctly, the ice age didn't go over so well. If we CAN help the Global Warming, why not try? What is so wrong with TRYING for once? And you'd have to be brain dead to think that the fumes coming off of everything are actually GOOD for us. Seriously? Even if Global Warming is some big bubble of lies, would it be so horrible to cut down on the pollution a little? Why is that so bad?
And really, have you been so out of it that you haven't noticed it getting hotter? I remember needing winter coats in the WINTER even in Florida. Last year was pitiful. Barely winter weather. I may turn out to be wrong - I'm not saying I won't - but I'd rather at least try to keep the planet from bursting into flames.

Who cares. Who cares? I didn't think you could be so naive, Manda, I really didn't. We need the polar bears. If we start not caring now, and just letting everyone hunt everything into extinction, to just let everything drop off the face of the planet, then what do you think is going to happen? Oh gee, let me think...Hm, maybe that would have some negative impacts on US? Well I don't know. Let's run some tests, lie, take everything off the endangered species list, shoot everything. Because then abortion issues will be the top priority when we have nothing to eat and nothing supporting the ecosystem. Of course. Because that's exactly what we want.
She's not Satan. She's a clueless flip-flopper. Have you not heard of her little 'Bridge to Nowhere' deal? Hmm?
And I don't love Hilary. I just think she'd do a better job than the idiots we have now. You can disagree, that's why we have a choice. That's just my opinion.

*~Manda~* said...

First off.

Yes, I do believe you're biased against her. Do you forget so easily the day after she became McCain's VP choice when you asked me what I thought and were so clearly against it? ONE DAY after anyone in the world even heard her name? Don't tell me you haven't been biased against her from the beginning cause that's crap. Fine, you have reasons NOW to dislike her. A few weeks ago you did not. You disliked her because you disliked McCain and Republicans - which like I said, fine. Your choice. I dislike a lot of people for their beliefs. But don't tell me you weren't the one despising her the day after she was announced his VP.

Second, about global warming - yeah, we probably aren't helping it and no, the pollution isn't good for us. Yes, it's definitely getting worse. But I do believe this is just another Earth cycle and maybe we can help it somewhat, but I don't think there's much we can do to majorly stop it. It's going to happen.

-_-

Read this slowly, Meg. I never said the damn polar bears weren't important. I said, was her comment REALLY that big of a deal? You're right - they should be protected. They're endangered and we need them. We can't have a bunch of hicks out there killing them all. But I don't think our world is crashing to a halt by a possible VP commenting on the status, alright? And for that matter, who even knows if she's wrong? If you believe global warming is a hyped-up government gimmick, which I do, then how do you know the polar bear endangerment isn't another hype? Not non-existent, mind you, but a totally exaggerated issue? You don't. That's not to say for sure that it is, but keep in mind that anything a government can build a charity on, they're going to.

Meg said...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAND
You're STILL wrong.
Congratulations. The status on this issue has not changed at all.
Let me explain.
I wasn't impressed with her speech whatsoever. And that was mostly the reason I didn't like her. I think McCain could have chosen a better candidate for his VP [even if he decided he needed a woman, there were plenty of more qualified ones]. I'm not saying she wouldn't be able to run the country should they get in office and have something happen to him - I'm just saying from what I've heard, it doesn't seem likely. She could be great. But in my opinion a little more experience than two years - and however long as a 'hockey mom' which she so clearly likes to flaunt. Nothing wrong with being a mom of five, I say go her for that, but must you say it every five seconds? - would be helpful. And I could be wrong. That's my opinion.
And that was just the first day. I didn't like her THEN just because I wasn't impressed with her speech and was a little iffy on what I'd heard.
Yes, now I DO have reasons to dislike her. I still, however, have no reasons whatsoever to LIKE her. I'm not biased against her. But regardless to that fact, I see no reason to like her.
And I never said I didn't dislike her the day after it was announced. I didn't like her.

Agreed. My only thing is I'm not so big on someone helping run the country if they're making comments that are so completely asinine. I don't think her opinion will impact everything, I just don't think it made her sound particularly brilliant.
'Who knows if she's wrong?' Well I'm certainly not the one saying she's wrong. But I'm not talking about her being wrong or right. I don't think she said polar bears were endangered or not. She just didn't want to put them on the endangered species list, if I remember correctly.
I realize that. That's why I'm against the government in general. Screw sides - the liberal and republican parties can jump in a ditch for all I care. We need someone who isn't ON one side.
We need an independent. And that probably wouldn't be a huge difference, but considering we don't know about it, I say it's worth a shot. But no one bothers with them.

Kristina said...

Hmm... I probably shouldn't jump in here, considering I don't know zip about politics. But here I go:

From what I think, global warming could happen, could not. But there's nothing wrong with trying to keep the Earth healthier and cleaner. You have to admit, all the gases coming from those plants (building plants) is disgusting.

As for saving the polar bears, she shouldn't have said that in her speech. Really, does it matter that much for her to say it in her speech? Yes, their polar bears, and yes, they're really cute, but was it absolutely nessecery for her to add that? I'm asking here, I have no clue if she had to say something about an animal or something (like I said, politics mean nothing to me).

So, yeah. Don't shoot me peoples. x] Remember you loved me before I opened my uninformed mouth...

Meg said...

You're awesome Nina XD

I completely agree with the Global Warming thing. Why not at least try to keep the planet clean? We keep our houses clean. Considering the planet IS kind of like our house, why not help it out a bit?

See that's the thing: I'm not sure she ever said it in a speech. I read it in an article from Mike Adams [I'll send you the article if you want. It's quite good.] - who is a very reliable source, mind you - and I can't remember if he said where he found that.

*~Manda~* said...

My word you're obnoxious to argue with. -_-

Well, now that we have it cleared up exactly WHY you hate her, we can move on to the next point.

o.0

If she didn't want to put them on the endangered species list, wouldn't it make logical sense that she does not believe they're endangered ... ?

I'm not against the government in general. I just think it's totally rigged and out for itself, and Huckabee was our best choice. He was the only one who seemed to have any sort of sincerity. And yeah, an independent would be nice. Maybe different than all these morons.

We couldn't shoot you, Nina. YOU'RE not a polar bear. XD And I agree with ya too. Not exactly sure what you meant with Palin, but alright, whatever, I'll go with that ... XD

Meg said...

Sorry about that. XD

It WOULD make logical sense. But how many times to politicians make any sense whatsoever? They're all a bunch of liars.

Agreed. Not sure about Huckabee, but agreed on everything else. Personally, I think any of them can SEEM decent, but they've all got downfalls. If they're a fairly good president, they go and do something stupid like cheat on their wives. -.-' [Idiots. You're the President. Do you not think you'll get caught? Really.]
Or something else equally stupid.

*~Manda~* said...

True. But to say something like that without actually believing they're not endangered makes zero sense.

Well yeah, no one's perfect, we're just as stupid as they are if we look for a perfect president. But someone halfway decent would be nice. These candidates all suck.

And yeah ... the most prominent figure in the nation, and he thinks he's going to get away with it. Honestly.

Meg said...

Exactly my point.

Personally, I think they suck worse than most of the choices we've had in the past. [MOST. Not all. I still think America was a complete moron to vote Bush in a second time.] Oh well. It'll be interesting.

Really. Stupidest thing you could do. Same with John Edwards. Obviously he's not the President or anything close, but he was running this year and has gotten a little bigger since running for VP with John Kerry last time, so REALLY. What on earth would possess someone to do something like that? Idiots.

Oh. And one other reason for disliking Palin that I forgot to mention before. I know you're all against abortion, and although this isn't the same, it's somewhat on the same level. So this might interest you.
When she got into office, she was all against helping the disabled. To money to them, no of course not. But now that she has a kid with down syndrome? Whoo! Let's help the people who can't help themselves! NOW that I've got a clue, I think I might actually want to help those people...
Yeah. She's great.

Kristina said...

O_O That's really horrible!!

Meg said...

Tell me about it.
Like I said, I have reasons why I don't like her.
It's not because I'm biased.

*~Manda~* said...

John Edwards is such scum. To cheat on your wife who has OVARIAN CANCER? He's on the absolute bottom of the scum chain. I hate him.

Seriously? Do you have an exact quote? Not that I don't believe you, but I'd like to hear the whole thing before getting all ticked over it.

Kristina said...

Really, saying that they don't need help!? How horrible is that?! Even though disabled people aren't helpless, every little wish or prayer or helpful SOMETHING helps!! -.-

Meg said...

Manda: Unfortunately I don't have a quote. Sorry. :X
And yes. Absolute scum. >_<

Nina: I KNOW! Can't stand her.

Kristina said...

I can only go by the facts you people are giving me. I otherwise have no idea what I'm talking about! XDD

But really. What a horrible woman. -_-

Meg said...

She drives me absolutely mad.

*~Manda~* said...

Well ... where'd you hear it then? If it was something blatant, not taken out of context and warped by CNN, I'd like to get ticked with you guys on behalf of all the retards and such, but ...=\

Kristina said...

And she's going to be what? McCain's vice president?

Kristina said...

Wow, I think we broke our record on how many comments we post on any blog!! xD

Meg said...

xD
Manda: I really don't think it was CNN. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. I think my mom told me - and therefore it's likely that she read it from Mike Adams or someone like him.
All I know is she cut fundings to special needs people by 60-something percent. Then had the kid with down-sydrome and decided to help them. My mom absolutely hates her. As does my grandmother. As do I.
And how about that thing about her possibly trying to get the other guy fired because of her sister? I can't remember exactly what happened there. But it's a huge deal. I will not be at all surprised if she's found guilty, just because that's how she seems to work, in my opinion.

Nina: I think you may be right. Quite a few comments here. XD
Yes. McCain chose her as his VP pick. So if he gets in office, she's our new Vice President. And when he dies [because heaven knows it will not be long] she would be our new President.
-gag-

*~Manda~* said...

Oh, well. I've searched the web and haven't personally found anything like that, so I still like her. xP
And I have absolutely no clue what you're talking about with her sister or whatever. o_0

Meg said...

Meh, suit yourself. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there. But it's your choice. xD

Ah, I could be slightly off here, but what I THINK happened is...
She supposedly tried to get a guy fired for divorcing her sister or something. Well, obviously not FOR that. But the guy her sister was married to divorced her. Then Palin tried to get him fired from his job [he may have worked in the government too, but I'm not sure] because she was ticked about it.
I think that's it. x]

Kristina said...

How old is McCain?

*~Manda~* said...

Well, just because you heard your mom say she read it on an unidentified site doesn't make this supposed story solid fact, especially after scouring the web and not finding a single word on it. And with all the rumors floating around with her now, I think it would be a huge thing in the media if she really did do that. So.

Honestly, I can't see that happening, but I shall look for that as well.

*~Manda~* said...

McCain is about 87 B.C.

Well actually, after Wikipedia'ing it, he is 72.

Who knew.

Not to mention he is apparently at an insane risk for cancer, as I believe he's had it a few times now.

Kristina said...

72 years old. And he might become president. WOW... O_O

Kristina said...

Meg, girl, you seriously need to post more.

And I'm still going to get you to take pictures in Disney. XDD I know karate! Dunno if I would actually use it on you though. I mean, if you turn out to be a serial killer or something, than sure, of course I will. I'll be a little bummed out about it, but of course I would - for the sake of the world. But if you're as nice as you are on the computer, which I think you are, then we'll have fun!!

WOW. XDDD

Meg said...

"87 B.C." XDDDD
I knew he was 72. XD
Yes I am a know-it-all. Thank you. XP

Nina: WOW indeed. Have a bit too much sugar there? XD
