Etsy [You know, finally.]

So now that I've finally got my debit card issues sorted out [damned PIN numbers], I've set up my shop on Etsy.com.
A little background; Etsy is a place for selling [and buying] all homemade and vintage items. It will be celebrating it's 5th birthday this month, and is getting more and more popular. Had a few people suggest it, and it's frankly just a hell of a lot less lame than Ebay, so I decided to have a go.
Nothing up just yet - still trying to get everything sorted out - but I should be putting stuff up soon enough. Lots to do.
Just thought I'd through that out there...And things. And stuff.

Get your numbers right, damn it

You know what I love and complain about at the same time?
Stupid people and stupidity in general.
This is the second time I've gotten a call on my cell phone from some random, seemingly-Spanish dude asking for my lawyer.
Wrong number, kthx?
The first time I TOLD him he had the wrong number.
This time I didn't quite catch what he said, went silent for a moment, and proceeded to hang up on him.
Next time I get random calls, I'm going to play the Llama Song until they hang up.

In other news.
I'm debating starting another blog - but make it public
What to write about, however, is something different entirely.

That is all.
Kbai.

POPROCKS. YAY. <--Yes I realize this title makes me look like a four year old. Anything out of the ordinary?

So yeah. I've found something else relatively awesome to do.
Go to Target with ze boyfriend, and only buy condoms, lube and Poprocks. [Which are, admittedly, a new kind of RETARDEDLY AWESOME.]
Immensely entertaining.

Especially since the irritating-as-fuck dude ahead of us in line wouldn't SHUT UP, and the old lady cashier was talking to him, then got painfully silent when we were up...
Priceless.

Blarg. Just....BLARG.

And stuff.
SO.
Tried asking my mommy to let Drew stay the night on New Year's Eve. She said she'd ask dad. I told her not to after Drew asked his dad - because he said no. Due to the fact my parents are working that night. What I don't quite comprehend, however, is that he said no to staying the night - but not to coming over for the day. My parents would leave for work around 5ish and not be home until probably 2 a.m. Drew would leave around 9:30. So...yeah. I could understand not wanting him to come over because my parents were gone. I could even understand him not wanting him to spend the night if they WERE home.
If he came over and left at 9:30...he'd still be here without my parents home AND he'd have to drive home on New Year's Eve with the crazies....
Fuck. People confuse the hell out of me.

Moving on.

I HAS iTUUUUNES.
Seeing how I got a $15 card from parentals, and Drew gave me his $25...I has $40 worth of iTunes.
Thus far;
I Get Off - Halestorm
Predictable - Good Charlotte
1985 - Bowling For Soup
Stop Me When You've Had Enough - Nural
Massive - The Loved Ones
Anthem - Zebrahead
Twisted Transistor - KoRn
All That I've Got - The Used
Drain the Blood - The Distillers
Welcome to the Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
Come On, Come On - Smash Mouth
Dopeman - Less Than Jake

Listen to 'em if you haven't already. Good stuff.

Ah. The guitar is named, by the way. Maria, by Drew's suggestions. After songs by All Time Low [Dear Maria, Count Me In] and Green Day [Maria].
So yeah. Yayyy. Rachel's is named Abraham.

Dude. I'm all...weird again. Egad.
I went from 'I don't care, I'm going to do what I like, fuck the money, I'll get by, have fun and be happy' to... 'AGH. Can't just do whatever, nothing I'd like would work out anyway, money's necessary, I can't do just anything, wouldn't be worth it..' blah blah blah.
This is bullshit. For realz.
The worst part, is even if I WANTED to go back to everything - the writing/photography/artsy crap - I don't think I can. I grew up a bit and no longer see the point. I don't....Egh. It's not the same now. If I tried any of it now, I'd give up in an hour by realizing there's no point and it's a waste of time. Because it is and it would all fall through eventually.
-headdesk- I'm starting to think I'm entirely different than I was, I'm going to continue changing, not like it, and not be able to fix it.
Fuck.

ANYWAY.
Excuse the ranting. Felt like it.

....
It's cold.

I'm updating this not by force.

Magical, no?
SO;

1.) Kentucky appears a no-go. My daddy's exact words when mom asked him before he left for work yesterday; "Are you out of your fucking mind?" Not all too promising. And he didn't mention it again yesterday, they're leaving tomorrow, Drew's coming over today, so mommy and I are taking it as a no. Ah well. /shrug
2.) My nieces and nephew are absofruitly amazing. Mom was telling me yesterday, and she heard it from my grandmom, SO, excuse slight lapses in details. They get kind of batty and forget stuff.
Maddie, Emily [Emmy], and Johnny. They're rough
ly 2-5, somewhere in that age bracket. All going to school.
Maddie tells Colleen [their mom, my brother's wife] that she didn't have to pack her lunch one day, because she wouldn't be hungry. Next day, she's all 'I'm not going to school today, I need to rest." So Colleen asked her what was up and it turns out she's being bullied. Some kid's stealing her lunch or something. Colleen has to talk to the teacher.
On the other side though, apparently some boy did/said [mommy couldn't remember] something to Emmy....who proceeded to haul off and punch the kid in the face. Pure Emmy.

Another time, some kid accidentally bumped Emmy. So Johnny proceeded to push/punch [dunno] the kid in return.
Now, you have to keep in mind that Johnny's very slightly autistic. He's not bad, but will probably learn a little slower than most. He's usually been really quiet and introverted. Also keep in mind that with autistic kids, you have to look directly at them when you speak.
So they're getting ready to leave one day, putting on jackets and stuff. Johnny's putting on his coat and the teacher goes "It's not time to leave yet Johnny." He continues. She repeats herself. He looks at her, puts his hands on her face, and says "It is time to leave now."
She said it was too cute to stop him.

I love these kids.

EDIT; I managed to get one picture while they were here in August. Excuse the quality, since they're twitchy and fail to sit still.

Manda's forcing me to update this....

So it appears it's update time yet again.
You don't really care and you know it, why make me? /sigh
ANYWAY.

1.) EHMAHGAWD IT'S A WEEK FROM CHRISTMAS. And therefore like twoish until 2010. Dude...My brain hurts. It's way too hot to be this close to Christmas, I demand a replay.
2.) I miiiiiiiiiiight be going to Kentucky in about two days. Drew's family's going up again [they have a barn-like house up there, and they have this beat up trailer. They want to take the trailer home to sell it, but have to go up to make sure it's working first. Drew has to go because they want him to help drive. Naturally.] and I'm semi-invited. Drew begged to let me go, they said yes, my mommy seems okay with it....so it's all up to my daddy and we shall find out probably later today.
If I do, shall be leaving Friday around 2:00 p.m. and back sometime...roughly Tuesday. Drew's dad needs to be back to work on Wednesday, so yeahh. It'll be short, but nevertheless.
3.) My parents are stupid. Love them, but stupid. For some reason my dad feels the need to get us stuff for Christmas [when we're broke as Pinocchio smashed into a wall], and have us be surprised. [Santa thing's been out of the bag for a while, but last year we all picked out what we wanted, and they wouldn't let us have anything until Christmas. Which sucked. It also sucks picking what you're getting and getting them BEFORE Christmas, because Christmas is boring.] So we had to make lists. They know stuff we want, they get what they feel the need. Simple, see what happens.
4.) I maaay be starting my own little business. Can't tell you what I'd be selling just yet, considering it's some of your Christmas presents and surprises are fun [if not for your end, then for mine]. So once you get your stuff, you'll know what I'm on about. For now, details;
Everyone know how Mystery Google [Now called Mystery Seeker, but it's gay so I refuse to call it that] works? If not; It's set up just like the normal Google search engine, but instead of getting results for whatever YOU type in, you get the results for whatever the person BEFORE YOU typed. I.e.; Someone types 'batman'. You come on and type 'Cheetos'. You get the web results for batman, and the person after you gets Cheetos. Comprende? Pretty cool. There are a lot of people who do things they call 'missions'. I.e. 'Your mission is to draw a pink cow and send it to so-and-so email address.' [I didn't make it up, I got that and completed it, even though my cow looked more like a deformed rat.] It's random, but fairly entertaining.
For those of you Twilight - er, Lautner - obsessed, I once got a result that said 'Taylor Lautner [you're welcome]'. Yep.
But the point of this; My dad and Drew have been telling me to sell the things I'm making for a while. I didn't think it'd be worth it, since no one would bother. Decided to test it. I put a link to a picture, and asked people to check it out, and email me if they'd buy it for themselves or someone else. I got over 30 responses, [difficult when not everyone bothers, and you pretty much have to spam the message to get anything. Did that for a couple nights] only two of which said no, all the others said yes. One person said I should make backpacks and hats out of the same idea, another guy said slippers. One asked if they were durable, because he has a cat that likes to play destroy. A nice chunk of the people said they'd want to know if I decided to sell them. Two people told me about etsy.com, a place to sell all your homemade things.
SO, I think I might. I'll be doing it after Christmas sometime [not entirely sure when], but we shall see what happens.
5.) My dad's parents are coming to Florida in a month or so. Dad's convinced they won't stay here after the huge fail of a visit that was February. Mom thinks they will. I'm almost positive they will. Shoot me?
6.) Might be getting my ears pierced again relatively soonish. Put it on the Christmas list, but when mom asked me about some stuff on it, she didn't mention them. So I'm not sure if that's a 'fuck no' or a 'maybe'. /shrug Regardless, if it's not mentioned before or at Christmas, I'll have to beg. Can do.
7.) My sisters have been randomly searching the internet in hopes of finding books that are to be made into movies, and they're succeeding. No guarantees, so don't get your hopes up if you've read them and would like them to be put to the screen, since all that they've found are basically for 2011-2013, not sure about any 2010, but anyway, some of my highlights;
King Dork by Frank Portman. My all-time second favorite book. I'll be interested to see how they make this into a movie, if they do.
Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy. If they have the right people for it, and don't screw up directors and whatnot like they did for Twilight....this could be really, really awesome. Or it could suck.
Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr. Again not sure how they're going to do it, but this one was confirmed on the website for the book, and so I wouldn't hesitate too much to count on it being made. Should be interesting.
There are a few more my sisters are excited about, but seeing how I haven't read them...I care very little just yet, and don't really remember which ones they are....Forgive me. Do your own research.
8.) Also about the Kentucky thing that I forgot to mention and can't be bothered to make that section any longer than it already is; Contact. Not aliens kittens; Contact with YOU. FYI, I probably will have very little if any. I'll have my cell phone, but texting will be almost nonexistent due to the apparently extreme lack of a signal up there. They have 70 acres, what do you expect? Might get some on the days we're driving, but no guarantees. Basically, don't expect to hear much from me for a few days. If I can go, I'll send out an email and whatnot, explaining the whole thing, so don't worry about it until then. I won't be bringing my laptop since there's no internet connection unless we go to town while we're up there, and if we do I just won't bother. So yeah, if I can't text at all, consider me nonexistent for a bit.
9.) ....I think it's supposed to be basically 35 degrees up there. Yeahhh. I'ma need to pack warm.
10.) Even if I go, you all SHOULD have your Christmas gifts in time for Christmas. I finished one part, now I have to do the other one, which I'll hopefully have done today. My mommy said if I go and don't have it done, I can show her how I want it and she'll finish it for me, but I should be able to get it finished so she can mail them while I'm gone. So yeah. Expect 'em.

That's all I can think of. So shut up Panda. Mission Accomplished.
