Meg is officially psychic.

I have this stereo system attached to my bedroom wall. I can plug my MP3 player into it and play the tracks that I have saved to the MP3.
So last week, I took all the songs I had on, and loaded a bunch of different ones on. About 135 songs. That night I plugged it into the stereo system, and set it to shuffle.
First song is Hollywood by Nickelback. And in the back of my mind, I'm just for some reason expecting Touchdown Turnaround by Hello Goodbye to play next. Not really giving it much thought, but it's there.
So the song goes over. Remember there are 135 songs on this thing. PLENTY of songs for the thing to chose from.
But the next song happens to be Touchdown Turnaround by Hello Goodbye.
I whipped my head around and stared at the radio for a good thirty seconds.

Then the day after that, I believe it was. My mom's birthday. Her friend came over to drop a gift off, but mom didn't get to open it until later. First thing I thought when I saw the box was 'coffee maker.'
Why? Hell I dunno. Just a thought.
And it turns out to be an espresso maker.

Oh I am goooood.

The Belmont Stakes

Ah, so close yet so far.
Thirty years since the last Triple Crown winner, and now it will be 31.
The winner of both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness, favorite Big Brown did not win the Belmont Stakes as so many hoped he would. Due to, I'm sure, that crack in his hoof, his jockey pulled him back, after he had been steady in third place.
At the time, it wasn't clear if the horse was kicked or not, but appeared to be fine after the race was over.
So no Triple Crown winner this year. Maybe next time around.
